Pure Joy

You are exactly how you are supposed to be and you always were.

Choosing to finally express your emotions as they naturally flow. No more toning it down to blend in, let your joy shine and light up the world. Painting this, I felt the urge to use all the bright colors and every iridescent and shiny medium I have. It is a reminder, that you don’t need to tone down your authentic self to make others feel comfortable. Fully letting go of my own people pleasing is healing old shame that never was mine to begin with. Show them proudly that you are different not less.

This is a part of my „Floating Tiger“ series, five paintings that process the autism diagnosis I got at 27. Finding myself and truly embracing my neurodivergence was freeing, exhilarating, healing, devastating, and connecting. Each aspect is painted as a tiger out of its element - floating, adapting, strong and resilient. This series is for every person that felt different and lost at one point in their lives, you are pushing through boundaries that are invisible to the world. Embracing and accommodating yourself is a long process but now you have a community.

This painting will add a pop of color to your home and is sure to brighten up any room you place it in. Let it remind you of your own strength one day at a time.
